NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (August 21, 2025) - Residents with disabilities or other functional needs can now use an updated online platform to register for emergency assistance.
The "Register Ready - New Jersey's Special Needs Registry for Disasters" program allows individuals, their families, and caregivers to provide confidential information to first responders. This data helps emergency agencies plan for and provide better assistance during an emergency.
The information collected, which includes details for those who may need help with evacuation or sheltering, is secure and not available to the public. Residents with both permanent and temporary disabilities, such as a high-risk pregnancy or a serious medical condition, are encouraged to register.
The new registration site can be found here.
