'Cool Met Stuff': Coping with extreme rainfall - 'Just-in-time' clearance and flood resilience

Climate change has led to more frequent extreme rainfall, with hourly rainfall at the Observatory Headquarters breaking records several times in recent decades. To address the flooding risks associated with extreme rainfall, the Drainage Services Department has formulated the "Integrated Flood Management Strategy" to enhance Hong Kong's overall flood prevention capabilities. The latest episode of "Cool Met Stuff", engineers from the Drainage Services Department will explain these measures.
