Watch Megan Moroney's Moving Tribute To Late Legend Dolly Parton: 'We Will Always Love You, Dolly'

Megan Moroney performed a stunning, moving rendition of Dolly Parton 's "I Will Always Love You" on Thursday night (August 27) in Denver, Colorado.

Moroney, 28, returned to the Ball Arena stage after she had to abruptly cancel her concert that was originally scheduled last month. The Georgia-born artist returned to the stage with "the longest show my band and I have ever played in my whole career," reportedly spanning three hours. The massive set list included a heartfelt nod to Parton, who passed away peacefully earlier this week in Nashville, Tennessee. She was 80.

"We will always love you, Dolly ," Moroney's team shared on Instagram with a clip of the singer's performance. The set list also reportedly included "Medicine," "No Call ID," "Who Hurt You?," a cover of Chris Stapleton's "What Are You Listening To?," "Beautiful Things," "Wish I Didn't," a cover of Toby Keith's "Who's Your Daddy?," "6 Months Later" and much more. Moroney's rescheduled, sold-out Denver show marked an epic finale to the North American leg of her "Cloud 9 Tour." She'll continue shows in Europe and the U.K. next month. Moroney has previously shared how Parton inspired her, including in music and in fashion. Moroney recreated Parton's 1974 Jolene album cover art during an interview with PEOPLE earlier this year. She told the publication tat the time, "I grew up in a household where it was like, 'In this house, we respect Dolly Parton.'

"Dolly has inspired my style because she's always thought more is more, and I'm right there with you, girl - I love dressing up," she continued. "As someone who also loves to dress up, wear a lot of makeup, have a lot of hair, I think owning it and just knowing that this is all fun, but who I am on the inside is the most important part. I don't know Dolly personally, but I think she has a heart of gold, the way that she gives back and how gracious and kind she is. …I usually use extensions, but there's not enough extensions in the world to get Dolly Parton hair," Moroney shared. "So we had to go not one wig, but two!"

Moroney is one of many artists to pay tribute to Parton after her passing earlier this week. Many other artists mourned Parton's loss and honored the late legend in emotional posts.

The official announcement from Parton's team on Tuesday afternoon stated that "Dolly is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years Carl Thomas Dean (1942 - 2025), her mother Avie Lee Caroline Owens (1923 - 2003), and father, Robert Lee Parton, Sr. (1921 - 2000). …At Dolly's request, a small, private service will be held for immediate family. Dolly's fans and friends from around the world are encouraged to pay tribute to Dolly on social media by tagging @DollyParton or by leaving a message at www.dollyparton.com. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library."
