Traffic Advisory Calaveras County 11/26/25

One-Way Traffic Control Next Week

Calaveras County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct one-way traffic control next week on State Routes 4 and 26 for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:

State Route 4

  • Long-term, one-way traffic control takes place from Appaloosa Road to Stallion Way for pavement work through Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
  • One-way traffic control takes place from Mitchler Avenue to Big Trees Road/Tom Bell Road for highway construction work beginning Monday, December 1, 2025, through Friday, December 5, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control takes place at Rancho Paradiso for utility work on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
  • One-way traffic control takes place from Big Trees Village Drive to Blue Mountain Road for tree work beginning Tuesday, December 2, 2025, through Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

State Route 26

  • Long-term, one-way traffic control takes place from Gill Haven Drive to Rich Gulch Lane for highway construction work through Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
  • One-way traffic control takes place from Flat Gulch Lane to Lower Dorray Road for tree work on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control takes place from Stanley Road to Winton Road for utility work on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., and beginning Wednesday, December 3, 2025, through Friday, December 5, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control takes place from Main Street to Niderost Lane for utility work beginning Monday, December 1, 2025, through Friday, December 5, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
