On September 25, during the 2025 Apsara Conference, AsiaInfo Technologies and Alibaba Cloud signed a cooperation agreement, formally designating AsiaInfo Technologies as the "Competency Center" of Alibaba Cloud. Both parties jointly held a thematic forum on "Building a Sustainably Operational Large Model Delivery System". Gao Nianshu, Executive Director and CEO of AsiaInfo Technologies; Li Li, Vice President of the Government-Enterprise Business Unit at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Group; Shi Minglei, Chairman of the China Reform Foundation; Wang Xuefei, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Communications Standards Association; and Chen Yili, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Cloud Computing and Big Data Research Institute at the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology attended the forum under invitation.

01 AsiaInfo Technologies and Alibaba Cloud Deepen Their Strategic Collaboration, and Sign "Competency Center" Cooperation Agreement

In recent years, AsiaInfo Technologies and Alibaba Cloud have been deepening their strategic cooperation, and consistently yielding high-quality achievements in fields such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence. At this forum, both parties signed an agreement, formally designating AsiaInfo Technologies as the "Competency Center" of Alibaba Cloud. This represents high recognition from Alibaba Cloud for AsiaInfo Technologies' project delivery capabilities in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and large models.

Under the agreement, both parties will work together, leverage their complementary advantages, and seek common development. They will enhance joint product R & D in areas including large model delivery, AI all-in-one machines, and AI security. This collaboration aims to deeply integrate computing power technology and algorithm models with consulting and planning, application and development, implementation and delivery, as well as operation and maintenance. Furthermore, both parties will engage in more comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in areas such as industry-research collaboration and market expansion, thereby promoting "AI+" deployment across all industries.

The "Large Model", as the most rapidly developing AI technology currently, has become a key driving force for enterprises to transit from informatization to digital intelligence. How to enable large models to be implemented in vertical industries more effectively, rapidly, and at a lower cost, thereby promoting cost reduction and efficiency improvement, has attracted significant attention from the industry.

Shi Minglei, Chairman of the China Reform Foundation, stated that both the policy direction and the macroeconomy are creating conditions for the vigorous development of large models and other cutting-edge technologies. Fu Wei, Vice President of AsiaInfo Technologies, stated that the next phase of the large model industry will inevitably focus on the essence of scenario adaptation and value operation.
