Did someone say a day full of free fun for the whole family to enjoy?! The Bloomington Parks & Recreation Department, in collaboration with the Inside Out Accessible Art Cooperative (IOAA), is excited to host the annual Free Arts Family Activity Fair on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from noon to 3:00 PM at the Miller Park Pavilion in Miller Park.
"We are thrilled to partner with this fantastic non-profit," said Bloomington Parks & Recreation Program Manager Jill Eichholz. "They have such a talented team at IOAA, and this festival will be a celebration of many activities focused on creativity, exploration and art."
The festival will include a family scavenger hunt, hula hooping, temporary tattoos and so much more!
Local non-profits will have vendor booths with information about their programming and hands-on art or other activities. These vendors include Bloomington Normal Garden Club, Bloomington Parks & Recreation, Bloomington Public Library, Boys & Girls Club, Central Illinois Beekeepers, Illinois Art Station, Miller Park Zoo, Society for Creative Anachronism and Threshold to Hope.
