Longtime Bowdoin Staffer Tony Sprague Named Brunswick Volunteer of the Year

At the association's annual gathering in Barry Mills Hall, which drew about 130 people, Sprague was presented with the volunteer of the year award.

He was also voted onto the board of directors, after serving on the BDA events committee this past year.

Sprague, who is Bowdoin's campus planner, was recognized for his dedication to assisting BDA events and acting as a thoughtful liaison to Bowdoin College, said Executive Director Reilly Kons.

"Always responsive, always collaborative, and always thinking about how Bowdoin College could play a meaningful role in strengthening BDA initiatives, this volunteer's impact was felt well beyond any single event," Kons added.
