Third Street Southeast in Highland City Will Remain Closed Until Oct. 23 Due to Inclement Weather Delays

Bartow, Fla. (Oct. 15, 2026) - Third Street Southeast in Highland City will remain closed until 7 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 23 for continued roadway reconstruction work delayed due to inclement weather.
Third Street Southeast, which was initially scheduled to reopen Oct. 16, will remain closed between Clubhouse Road and Central Avenue Southeast until roadway reconstruction work is completed. The roadway is expected to reopen at 7 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 23.
Traffic is being detoured on Clubhouse Road, Second Avenue Southeast and Central Avenue Southeast. Residents are asked to plan alternative routes as needed.
The closure is part of a Final Site LLC project.
