PT TIMAH Continues Distributing Basic Food Packages to Communities Ahead of Eid al-Fitr, West Bangka Residents Welcome the Assistance

WEST BANGKA -- Ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri, PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk continues to distribute basic food packages to communities in the company's operational areas.

The basic food assistance from PT TIMAH reflects the company's concern to help ease the needs of communities during the holy month of Ramadan while supporting household food security.

PT TIMAH has also distributed basic food packages to residents in several areas of West Bangka Regency, including Tanjung Subdistrict, Air Putih Village, and Belo Laut Village.

The distribution of the assistance was carried out in collaboration with local village and subdistrict governments to ensure that it reaches residents who need it most.

In Belo Laut Village, the basic food assistance was symbolically received by the Secretary of Belo Laut Village, Kurniawan Gatot Pramono, at the Belo Laut Village Office on Monday (8/3/2026).

Kurniawan expressed appreciation for the assistance program initiated by PT TIMAH because it provides direct benefits to the community.

"We would like to thank PT TIMAH for the basic food packages that have been received by the Belo Laut Village Government and will soon be distributed to residents in need," he said.

According to him, the assistance is very helpful for the community, especially amid economic conditions that have not yet fully stabilized.

"With the current uncertain economic conditions, this assistance is very helpful and helps ease the burden on our residents. We hope PT TIMAH will continue to contribute and play a role, both in social activities and development," he said.

A similar appreciation was also conveyed by the Head of the Community Welfare Section of the Tanjung Subdistrict Office, Riezka Gilang. She said that PT TIMAH consistently distributes basic food assistance to the community every year ahead of Eid al-Fitr.

"We know that almost every year before Eid al-Fitr, PT TIMAH distributes basic food packages to the community. On behalf of the Tanjung Subdistrict Government, we would like to thank PT TIMAH for its concern, and we hope this assistance will benefit the residents," she said.

The assistance was also warmly welcomed by community members who received it. Kartinah (64), a resident of Tanjung Subdistrict, expressed her gratitude after receiving the food assistance during Ramadan.

"Alhamdulillah, this is a blessing in the month of Ramadan. I received rice and other necessities. Thank you to PT TIMAH, may it bring blessings and may the company continue to grow," she said.

A similar sentiment was expressed by Ainiwati (54), a resident of Hamlet III in Belo Laut Village, who appeared delighted when receiving the assistance.

"Alhamdulillah, I am very happy. This assistance helps ease our burden while observing the fast and preparing for Eid. Thank you very much to PT TIMAH, may it bring blessings and may PT TIMAH continue to prosper," she said. (*)
