City Ensemble Concert Series Returns November 7

Creative Greensboro presents five concerts November through December featuring the City's community music ensembles: Philharmonia of Greensboro, Greensboro Big Band, Choral Society of Greensboro, and Greensboro Concert Band. Concerts are free, but donations will be accepted to help sustain the music series.

Fall 2025 Concert Schedule

  • Choral Society of Greensboro Featuring soloist Charli Mills and a brass ensemble, Choral Society presents Rutter's Gloria, Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb, Elgar's Ave Verum and more. Friday, November 7, 7:30 pm

    Christ United Methodist Church, 410 N. Holden Rd.

  • Greensboro Big Band Presenting traditional big band and swing favorites - dancers are encouraged to attend. Sunday, November 9, 3 pm

    Van Dyke Performance Space, Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 N. Davie St.

  • Philharmonia of Greensboro Presenting Brahms' Symphony No. 3 and Romanian Rhapsody No. 1 by Enescu Thursday, November 20, 7 pm Van Dyke Performance Space, Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 N. Davie St.
  • Greensboro Concert Band Presenting Grainger's Molly on the Shore, Mackey's A Deep Reverberation Filled with Stars and more. Saturday, November 22, 7:30 pm

  • Choral Society of Greensboro Presenting Handel's Messiah accompanied by orchestra.

Creative Greensboro's music programming includes four community ensembles that rehearse and perform throughout the year, the MUSEP concert series that supports local musicians and provides free concerts for the public around the city, and music studio space in the Greensboro Cultural Center for instructors to offer private music lessons.
