NIFA Awards $1.8M to Support Aquaculture Research
USDA's National Institute of Food and Agriculture has awarded $1.8 million for six projects that support the U.S. aquaculture industry by generating new, science-based information and technology to address industry constraints. These funded applied research projects aim to help improve the profitability of the United States aquaculture industry, reduce the $17 billion U.S. seafood trade deficit, increase domestic food security, expand markets for United States-produced products, and provide more jobs for rural and coastal America.
