Public Notice: 2026 Slurry Seal Project Update

Beginning Wednesday, June 17, 2026, the City will begin applying a Type II slurry seal to streets. Slurry seal is one of the most efficient methods to extend the life of roadways. Once the slurry seal is completed, the streets will be re-striped and new markers will be installed. Slurry seal operations are estimated to continue through June 29, 2026.

During scheduled work, streets will be closed to through traffic. Construction and "No Parking" signs as well as traffic control will be in place, with flaggers on site to guide drivers. Residents in the affected areas will receive 48-hour advance notice. Emergency vehicles will be prioritized at all times.

Please be advised of the following:

  • No parking from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Any cars parked within the posted area on the days of the slurry seal operations will be towed.
  • Do not drive on the surface treated streets until the street(s) has been reopened to traffic or permitted by a flagger.
  • Please reduce speed while traveling through the work area.
  • Garbage pick-up will not be affected; Please place trash bin on top of the curb.
  • Please do NOT water your lawn on the "No Parking" days or the night prior.

We know this work may cause temporary delays and traffic disruptions, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to maintain and improve Patterson's roadways.
