Each year during the third week of May, communities across the country celebrate National Public Works Week to recognize the vital role public works professionals play in our daily lives.

This year's theme, "Rooted in Service, Powered by Community," honors the deep commitment public works professionals bring to serving the communities they care about.

In San Rafael, we are proud to celebrate the exceptional staff in our Public Works department. This dedicated team bring skill, care, and commitment to their work every day, supporting the health, safety, sustainability, and quality of life of everyone in our community.

Some of their work is highly visible, while much of it happens behind the scenes. But whether seen or unseen, their impact is always felt - keeping essential systems and infrastructure running smoothly and helping San Rafael thrive.

Their efforts form the backbone of a safe, resilient, and livable city. We are sincerely grateful for the critical role they play in keeping San Rafael running strong.
