AHN Offers Extensive Cancer Screening Opportunities in October

PITTSBURGH - Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is increasing its efforts to promote early cancer detection by offering a variety of screening opportunities throughout October across Western Pennsylvania.

• Walk-In Mammograms: Beginning Oct. 1, walk-in mammograms will be available at eight AHN locations:
  • AHN Allegheny General Hospital Breast Center
  • AHN Brentwood Breast Center
  • AHN Jefferson Medical Office Breast Center
  • AHN North Fayette Health + Wellness Pavilion
  • AHN Outpatient Center - Uniontown
  • AHN Fox Chapel Waterworks Breast Imaging
  • AHN Waterfront Breast Center
  • AHN West Penn Hospital Imaging Center

Eligible women can walk in without an appointment to each of these locations Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. and receive a mammogram. This initiative will continue through December 2026.

• Strike Out Cancer at PNC Park: AHN is teaming up with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday, Oct. 4, to host a Cancer Screening and Wellness event at PNC Park from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees can receive head and neck, prostate, colorectal, and skin cancer screenings. The event will also feature giveaways, tours of PNC Park, and educational sessions. Free parking is available in the Blue 10 Garage, and the screenings will be performed at no cost to the patient. • Saturday Screening Clinic at AHN Grove City: The AHN Cancer Institute will host its monthly Saturday screening event at AHN Grove City on Saturday, Oct. 11. This comprehensive clinic provides eligible individuals with the opportunity to receive seven cancer screening tests, including those for breast, cervical, colorectal, head and neck, lung, prostate, and skin cancers, all in one appointment. The screening is available to AHN patients and non-AHN patients, and those with or without health insurance. Those interested in attending should schedule an appointment by calling 412-359-6665.
