UNION CITY, CA, November 17, 2025 - The City of Union City is now accepting applications for residents who are interested in serving on its various City Commissions, Boards, and Advisory Bodies. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to local decision-making and help guide the future of the City.

Serving on a Commission is one of the most direct ways residents can make a difference. Commission and committee members advise the City Council on important issues ranging from arts and culture to parks, community development, human relations, and economic development.

Eligibility & Application Details

• Applicants must be residents of Union City as required by municipal code (with a few exceptions, such as for certain non-resident seats)
• Commissioners and alternates shall serve not more than two full terms
• Deadline to apply is Friday, December 19 at 5:00 PM with in-person interviews planned for January 2026, followed by appointments in February 2026
