ATLANTA - State Representative Yasmin Neal (D-Jonesboro) congratulates Riverdale High School's varsity softball team, the Riverdale Raiders, for finishing their 2025 season with an overall record of 11-10, placing them third in their region.
"As a former high school softball player, I understand the amount of work it takes to be successful on the field," said Rep. Neal. "I want to offer my congratulations to the Riverdale High School softball team and their coaching staff for a fantastic season! Job well done!"
Rep. Neal also congratulates Ayonna Carvajal, who led the team in batting average, on-base percentage and earned run average, Jada Bady, the Raiders' home run leader, and Melanie Williams, who led the team in stolen bases. She also congratulates Head Coach C. McFadden and Assistant Coach C. Marsh.
Representative Yasmin Neal represents the citizens of District 79, which includes a portion of Clayton County. She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2020 and currently serves on the Economic Development & Tourism, Judiciary Non-Civil, Public Safety and Homeland Security and Ways & Means committees.
