Temporary Road Closures Scheduled for 2026 Norman Music Festival & Lion’s Club Carnival

The City of Norman is advising the public of temporary road closures and traffic impacts in Downtown Norman in connection with the Norman Music Festival and Lion's Club Carnival through April 26, 2026.

To accommodate the Lion's Club Carnival, the following road is closed to all traffic through 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 26:

  • James Garner Avenue between Main Street and Eufaula Street

To accommodate the Norman Music Festival, the following roads will be closed to all traffic from approximately 12 p.m. Friday, April 24 through 6 a.m. Sunday, April 26:

  • Main Street between Santa Fe Street and Porter Avenue
  • James Garner Avenue between Gray Street and Comanche Street
  • Jones Avenue between Gray Street and Comanche Street
  • Peters Avenue between Gray Street and Comanche Street
  • Crawford Avenue between Gray Street and Comanche Street

Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow additional travel time. Increased pedestrian traffic can also be expected in and around the downtown area throughout the weekend.

Drivers should use caution and remain alert when traveling in these areas.
