World Drowning Prevention Day Clinic

Save a Life, it might be your own!

Join us for a free 2-hour hands-on session to learn and practice drowning prevention and resuscitation techniques. The American Canoe Association and Rescue Instructor Alliance will lead this session on World Drowning Prevention Day, setting you up to recognize water hazards, drowning prevention techniques, and how to respond to a distressed swimmer. No prior experience is needed.

The session will take place outdoors at Forest Ridge Park's waterfront and have attendees actively participate, including getting into the water at Falls Lake and practicing scenarios along the shoreline. All equipment is provided. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by a registered adult. Please contact Forest Ridge Park for more information.
