Plan to enjoy a free performance of the feel-good musical comedy "Sister Act: The Musical" Aug. 14-15, presented by Broadway in the Hood at the West Las Vegas Theatre, located at 951 W. Lake Mead Blvd. Bring the family to one of three musical theatre presentations with dazzling dance numbers and hit songs that will have them clapping along - 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14; 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15; or 7 p.m. Aug. 15.
When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a crime, she's hidden away in the last place she ever expected, a convent. Disguised as a nun, Deloris turns the choir into a soulful sensation, bringing joy, music and a little bit of mischief to the sisters and the community around them. "Sister Act" is a heavenly celebration of friendship, faith and the power of finding your true voice. All shows are free and open to the public! Doors open one hour prior to the performances; general admission seating is first-come, first-served.
