Artificial intelligence has the power to transform work for the better. But only if it's developed responsibly. At Dayforce, we believe AI should accelerate innovation while safeguarding fairness, transparency, and trust. That's why we're proud to announce the Dayforce AI Ethics Council: a group of distinguished experts from outside Dayforce who will guide us to build AI that helps empower people, communities, and society.
AI creates big opportunities, but also deep responsibilities. As it becomes more deeply embedded in HCM, important questions about privacy, compliance, worker rights, governance, and fairness arise. Importantly, we need to always ask ourselves whether we should apply AI as a solution in different situations, not simply whether we can. We formed the council to ensure Dayforce continues leading with integrity in AI, balancing innovation with accountability and respect for the people our technology is designed to serve.
The council reflects and strengthens our ongoing commitment to responsible innovation. We hope to understand challenges, co-create solutions, drive engagement through candid conversations, and represent those most impacted by AI-powered systems. Grounding the council's work in these principles, we can anticipate challenges, surface new opportunities, and ensure diverse perspectives are part of the conversation.
The AI Ethics Council brings together leaders from diverse disciplines:
Miranda Bogen, Director of the AI Governance Lab, Center for Democracy and Technology
Agnes Bundy Scanlan, President, Cambridge Group
Merve Hickok, Founder, AIethicist.org
Dr. Nicol Turner Lee, Ph.D., AI governance expert and author
Greg Vert, Principal, Human Capital Applied AI Leader, Deloitte
Within Dayforce, the council will be co-chaired by David Lloyd, Chief AI Officer, and Jason Rahlan, Global Head of Sustainability and Impact.
Bringing this group together creates important opportunities for Dayforce. Their insights will spark innovation by introducing new ideas and perspectives, helping to inform strategic decisions at the highest level. The council's involvement offers external validation to customers, prospects, investors, and other stakeholders, reinforcing trust in how we approach AI. It also provides credibility and practical guidance when navigating sensitive or high-profile issues, ensuring that stakeholder perspectives remain central to our decision-making.
Launching the AI Ethics Council is the latest step in our mission to develop AI solutions that drive efficiency and serve the greater good. By embedding expert insights into our innovation strategy, we reinforce our commitment to fairness, transparency, and trust. Because responsibly built AI makes work life better.
