Rep. Manning Applauds Ohio School Bus Safety Grant Awardees
State Representative Gayle Manning (R-Avon) is pleased to announce that 10 school districts from Lorain County will receive nearly $200,000 in funding through the Ohio School Bus Safety Grant.
The grants will help ensure safer travel for Ohio students through safety upgrades to existing buses and the addition of advanced safety features on new buses.
The list of awardees in Lorain County is the following:
- Amherst Exempted Village School District - $64,893
- Avon Lake City School District - $24,794
- Avon Local School District - $2,750
- Clearview Local School District - $22,542
- Columbia Local School District - $5,000
- Keystone Local School District - $19,995
- Lorain City School District - $36,902
- Midview Local School District - $10,888
- North Ridgeville City School District - $4,187
- Oberlin City School District - $6,068
"Ensuring the children in our community have a safe way to get to school is extremely important," said Rep. Manning. "I'm so pleased to see that so many schools in our community took advantage of this great resource."
