Asad Syrkett Appointed Head of Editorial Content, Architectural Digest Italy

Condé Nast announced the appointment of Asad Syrkett as Head of Editorial Content of Architectural Digest Italy, effective October 13th 2025. Based in Milan, Syrkett will be responsible for overseeing the vision and content across all platforms for the title in the market.

About Asad Syrkett, Head of Editorial Content, AD Italy
Asad Syrkett is an American design editor and writer. From 2020 to 2024, he served as Editor in Chief of Elle Decor. Under his leadership, the brand took a global perspective that engaged broad new audiences and opened avenues for editorial and revenue growth. Work commissioned during his tenure was later collected by the Smithsonian Institution.

Previously, he spent a decade as an editor of print and digital media, including at AD in the U.S., where he was a features associate. Syrkett returned to team AD in January 2025, when he was appointed a guest editor of AD Italy, starting with the brand's April 2025 issue.

Syrkett has guest-lectured at Harvard's Graduate School of Design, the Rhode Island School of Design, and the School of Visual Arts, and written for several books on interiors. He graduated from Columbia University in New York with a degree in Art History with a focus on Architectural History and Theory.
