2025 Arts Endowment Awards Announced

The Hillsboro Arts & Culture Endowment recently announced $17,289 in funding awards to 15 local arts and culture organizations and two community recognition awards. The awards were celebrated at the Hillsboro City Council meeting on October 21.

Organizations receiving 2025 funds from the Arts Endowment include:
• Bag&Baggage Productions
• Cultural and Arts Center of OBV
• Golden Road Arts
• Hillsboro Artists' Regional Theatre (HART)
• Hillsboro Historical Society
• Hillsboro Symphony Orchestra
• The Immigrant Story
• Influence Music Hall/Tualatin Valley Artists
• Light Opera of Portland
• Oregon Chorale
• Rasika
• STAGES Performing Arts Youth Academy
• The Young Artist Club
• Westside Community & Youth Orchestra
• Westside Quilters Guild

In addition to the financial awards:

Tualatin Valley Community Television was named "Arts & Culture Business Partner of the Year"
Jan Simmons was named "Arts & Culture Volunteer of the Year"

History of the Endowment

The Hillsboro Arts & Culture Endowment was formed through a partnership of the City of Hillsboro and the Hillsboro Community Foundation, under the direction of the Hillsboro Arts & Culture Council in 2013. Over the past 12 years, the fund has grown to more than $600,000 dedicated to supporting the arts in Hillsboro.

Since funds were disbursed starting in 2018, the Endowment has made 91 awards and given more than $80,000 in support of Hillsboro-based arts and cultural non-profit organizations and individual artists who have organized community art projects. In its first years, an Endowment committee recommended 1 to 2 organizations or artists to receive Endowment funding each year. With the growth of the fund, the committee has chosen each year to recommend funding EVERY non-profit arts organization in Hillsboro for the last six years!
