Flu, COVID vaccine clinics return to Columbia, Boone County

Walk-in flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics are returning to the mid-Missouri community this year.

Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) will host two clinics this week:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Friendship Christian Church - Friendship Building, 120 N. Rollins, Centralia.
  • Thursday, Oct.30, from 3 - 6 p.m. at the Columbia Public Library, 100 W. Broadway.

The updated flu vaccine will be available to all residents, with or without insurance.

A high-dose flu shot is available specifically for those aged 65 and older. For self-pay residents, the cost of the flu vaccine is $40, and the cost of the high-dose flu vaccine for those aged 65 and older is $85.

Residents with insurance can receive the COVID-19 vaccine for ages 6 months and older. PHHS is working with the State of Missouri to secure the COVID-19 vaccine for uninsured individuals. For self-pay residents, the COVID vaccine is $125.

The PHHS vaccine clinics accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, checks and can bill various insurance plans through a system known as VaxCare. PHHS is out of network for some insurance plans. Please check with your insurance company for more information. Receipts will be available upon request.
