From September 19 to 27, Montréal will be hosting the world's elite in road cycling. A major gathering that will shine a light on the metropolis around the world, but will also result in major traffic reroutes and parking changes, especially in the vicinity of the Palais des congrès de Montréal.
For one week, over 1,000 will compete in 13 events in the heart of Montréal's streets.
If you need to get to the Palais between September 19 and 27, we recommend you check traffic conditions before setting out each time. We also recommend public transit: the Palais des congrès is directly connected to the Place-d'Armes metro station, on the orange line.
What you need to know about the road closures:
The UCI Road World Championships are the first event of this magnitude in Montréal in decades and will be an opportunity to see the best cyclists in the world working their magic on the streets of the metropolis. By planning your travel in advance, you can enjoy this major international gathering while getting to and from the Palais in the best conditions possible.
