The Temelín Nuclear Power Plant will disconnect its first generating unit from the transmission grid on the evening of 16 October. This will mark the start of a planned outage during which, among other activities, safety systems and the turbine will be inspected and part of the fuel assemblies replaced. In total, CEZ plans to carry out more than 19,000 tasks and has preliminarily allocated two months for their completion.
