Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Hungary presented his credentials to President of Hungary

On September 23, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Hungary Haykak Arshamyan handed over his credentials to President of Hungary Dr. Tamás Sulyok.

During the tete-a-tete meeting following the official ceremony, the President of Hungary congratulated Ambassador Haykak Arshamyan on assuming his position and wished him success in fulfilling this responsible mission.

During the meeting, the historical ties between Armenian and Hungarian peoples were highlighted along with the importance of continuously activating mutual contacts between the two societies. The sides also discussed the current developments in Armenia-Hungary relations in the fields of economy, education, culture and other areas, as well as the opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on recent regional developments, with particular emphasis on the agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8 of this year, noting their significance in the historic progress toward establishing peace in the region and normalizing relations between the two countries.
