KnowBe4 Accelerates Asia Expansion Following Cloud Email Security Launch Events

Regional executive series underscore the critical need to secure the modern workforce against next-generation, AI-driven email threats

KnowBe4, the global leader in digital workforce security, securing both AI agents and humans, has reinforced its rapid growth across Asia following a successful series of cloud email security events across Singapore, Hong Kong and the Philippines, with an upcoming launch in Malaysia.

The latest event in the series, an exclusive Executive Lunch & Learn in Singapore in April, brought together senior cybersecurity, risk and IT leaders to explore the growing risk posed by email-based cyberattacks and the critical role of AI agents and humans in their email security strategies. The event built upon the momentum of high-engagement sessions in Manila and Hong Kong, revealing a strong, unified demand across the region for security solutions capable of neutralising sophisticated, autonomous attacks. The launch series will continue its regional tour with its next scheduled event in Malaysia this July.

The Singapore event explored how 2026 has seen a shift from mass spam to hyper-personalised autonomous attacks, due to attackers using generative AI, stolen logins and blending emails with SMS and QR codes. Attendees were presented striking KnowBe4 findings, including that:

  • 95% of CISOs say client and corporate data is at risk on email, according to The Egress Data Loss Prevention Report
  • According to KnowBe4's The State of Human Risk 2025, 84% of sessions focused on executive-level frameworks for managing human risk
  • 93% of organisations have suffered an outbound email data breach according to the Egress Outbound Email Data Breach report

The events featured a live demonstration of KnowBe4's Collaboration Security capabilities with inbound and outbound cloud email security products. It showed how AI-powered behavioural detection, real-time user feedback and outbound data protection work together to reduce workforce-related email risk without disrupting productivity.

"Asia continues to be one of the fastest-growing threat landscapes globally, particularly when it comes to social engineering and business email compromise," said Dr. Kawin Boonyapredee, CISO advisor at KnowBe4. "During our conversations with security leaders across Asia, the consensus was clear: securing email today requires a fundamental shift in how we view the attack surface. We must move beyond outdated models and focus on protecting the entire modern workforce by understanding how both employees and AI interact with their digital environments. That is exactly why we are focused on equipping organisations with the versatile tools they need to bridge the gap between technology and behaviour, helping them build stronger defenses against what comes next."

KnowBe4's expanding presence in Asia is supported by growing regional teams, an increasing customer base, and continued investment in local expertise to help organisations address regional threat patterns, regulatory requirements and workforce behaviours.

With further executive engagements planned across Asia Pacific, KnowBe4 continues to scale its footprint in the region, empowering organisations to transform their modern workforce into a resilient, highly aware security layer.
