Berkeley College and iHeartMedia New York celebrated leaders who #GiveToGain, redefining leadership and using their platforms to uplift others, during iHeartMedia New York's Fourth Annual International Women's Day event on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at iHeartMedia headquarters in New York City. The event also honored Shannia Nuñez, a Berkeley College student leader, with the Rising Star in Business Award, for her passion, resilience, and pursuit of greatness.

"This year's recipient is an exceptional student who continues to grow into a confident leader," said Panagiota Babadelis, Senior Director, Marketing and Communications, Berkeley College. "Shannia's unwavering commitment to integrity and her genuine passion for service shine through in everything she does."

Nuñez, a resident of Forest Hills in Queens, NY, will graduate in May with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. She has made significant contributions to the Berkeley College New York City campus through her work with the Student Government Association, where she advocates for student clubs and works to foster a strong sense of community.

The iHeartMedia New York's Fourth Annual International Women's Day event featured conversations with some of radio's top talent, including Astra (103.5 KTU), Jess Hilarious (Power 105.1), Helen Little (106.7 Lite FM), Angie Martinez (Power 105.1), Danielle Monaro (Z100 New York), and Crystal Rosas (Z100 New York). The event also presented live performances from Sophia Ramos of the Grammy-award winning Broadway musical Buena Vista Social Club and singer-songwriter Brenda K. Starr. Creator, CEO, and author Bozoma Saint John received iHeartMedia New York's International Women's Day "Woman of the Year" award.
