Watch Caroline Jones Embrace An Unapologetic, Bold Transformation In Haunting 'Your Wife Is Dead'

Caroline Jones told the story of an empowering transformation with her haunting, bold new anthem.

The sharp-witted songwriter and artist penned the unapologetic single, "Your Wife Is Dead," with writers Lauren McLamb and Trannie Anderson. The liberating, defiant track embraces personal transformation and growth as the singer lays a past version of herself to rest. Jones shared with iHeartCountry, "The song is a story of burying old patterns and evolving into a more empowered version of myself."

"I'm not the girl who said I do/ The honey from your honeymoon/ The one who kept the peace no matter what the cost/ Sorry, I'm not sorry for your loss/ But I'm someone she wouldn't recognize/ With strength to trust myself, and grit to get it off my chest/ Feeling so alive since I laid her to rest/ Your wife is dead"

Jones co-directed the cinematic music video with Ryan Hood, bringing the edgy, boot-stomping song to life with gothic, dramatic imagery. "Your Wife Is Dead" follows the video for "You're It For Me, Honey," appearing on Jones latest solo studio record, Good Omen, which made its debut earlier this year. The 12-track project also included "No Tellin'," "All The Things," "Divorce In A Small Town," "Becca" and more. Jones is a solo artist and multi-instrumentalist and a member of Zac Brown Band.
