MOFA Spokesperson’s Statement on the Implementation of the Ceasefire between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Kingdom of Thailand
The Government of the Republic of Korea welcomes the Joint Statement agreed by Cambodia and Thailand at the 3rd Special General Border Committee on December 27 on an immediate ceasefire, as well as the implementation of the agreed measures including maintaining a 72-hour ceasefire and the repatriation of 18 Cambodian military personnel on Wednesday, December 31.
The Government of the Republic of Korea looks forward to the agreements between Cambodia and Thailand being faithfully implemented and hopes that the related situation will be resolved peacefully through dialogue.
