Milling and Resurfacing on I-84 Near Exit 11 and 10 in Newtown

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on I-84 in Newtown at Exits 11-10. This project is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, November 10 and be completed on Friday, November 13, 2026. The project DOT01703811CN "G" consists of milling and resurfacing the west bound end overpass I-84 ramp to the west bound underpass I-84 ramp (400' of right and climbing lane only). This project is scheduled to begin milling and paving by Waters Construction on Tuesday, November 10, 2026.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures of I-84 from the westbound end overpass I-84 ramp to the westbound underpass I-84 ramp in Newtown. Sign patterns and truck mounted attenuators will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Tuesday - Friday.
