ASRM's Center for Policy and Leadership (CPL) is now accepting applications for the 2026 PRIMED cohort! ASRM members based in the U.S. are encouraged to learn more about PRIMED and apply here. Applications are due December 1, 2025. The Office of Public Affairs hosted two live events at ASRM 2025, one demystifying the White House's recent IVF policy announcement and one addressing Restorative Reproductive Medicine (RRM) and its implications for IVF access. Members of the CPL's 2025 PRIMED cohort presented their capstone projects at ASRM 2025, covering various topics within reproductive medicine advocacy. ASRM past President Dr. Robert Rebar published an op-ed outlining the evolution of fertility care and how RRM replicates decades-old standard fertility care practices. ASRM joined ACOG and other leading medical organizations in filing an amicus brief challenging an HHS directive to remove COVID-19 vaccine recommendations for children and pregnant patients from CDC guidelines. Muasher, MD, Distinguished Service Award to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC)'s ART surveillance & research team, which was eliminated earlier this year because of devastating agency staff cuts. We thank these scientists for their contributions to and oversight of fertility care in the U.S. Dr. Nicole Ulrich, 2024 PRIMED alum and Director of Advocacy at the Fertility Institute, spoke with Healio about the importance of health care provider involvement in advocacy. ASRM Government Affairs Manager Emma Berens presented federal and state efforts to protect and expand IVF access with Academy of Adoption & Assisted Reproduction (AAAA) ART Policy Director Nidhi Desai and Georgia Fertility Network Founder Lynn Goldman at the AAAA Mid-Year Conference in Savannah, GA. ASRM Chief Advocacy & Policy Officer Sean Tipton joined the Johns Hopkins University Public Health on Call Podcast to discuss IVF access and the White House IVF policy announcement. ASRM CPL Director Becca O'Connor was the Closing Keynote Speaker at the third annual Upper Midwest Summit for Reproductive Science on October 13-14, 2025, in Chicago, Illinois. The theme of the 2025 Summit is "Next-Gen Reproduction: Shaping the Future of Reproductive Science and Medicine."
