Düsseldorf-Global law firm Dentons has advised Trench Group on its acquisition of the production facilities of the composite insulator business of Reinhausen Power Composites (RPC). The acquisition includes all machinery, equipment, software, and intellectual property rights necessary for the development, design, and manufacture of RPC's entire portfolio of hollow core composite insulators. Trench Group thereby strengthens its expertise in the composite insulator business. Composite insulators are vital components in the transmission and distribution (T&D) industry and integral to the performance and reliability of high-voltage equipment across global power grids.
The transfer of assets is scheduled to begin in summer 2026. The facilities will be relocated to Trench Germany GmbH in Bamberg, expanding the existing production site, which already manufactures composite insulators up to 800 kV.
