The 2nd meeting for the 12th Change Asia Rescue the Earth (CARE) documentary co-production was held at Baba House, Malacca, Malaysia, from 5-7 November 2025.
The series was hosted by Walkabout Asia in partnership with the Walk the Doc 2025 festival. Walkabout Asia is a media platform that celebrates Asia's rich culture, people, and heritage through documentaries and factual storytelling.
Producers from 11 countries attended the three-day event, including TRT-Türkiye, KBS-Korea, RTM-Malaysia, HCP-Malaysia, CGTN-China, TBPS-Thailand, TVRI-Indonesia, MRTV-Myanmar, NTV-Nepal, VTV-Vietnam, and PB/DD-India.
The theme of CARE 12 was "Finding strength in traditions and culture," focusing on stories that highlight heritage and community life. Ge Yunfei of CGTN-China was the Executive Producer.
Highlights included the premiere and judging of Small Story Big Impact, workshops led by Ge Yunfei ,CGTN-China, Natasha Kodurova, RT Doc-Russia, and Chris Scheuler, and the launch of Walkabout Asia's new series, "Tribal Kitchen Asia".
CARE 12 continues to provide a platform for filmmakers across Asia to share meaningful stories, honour local traditions, and connect audiences with the diverse cultures of the region.
