FPSC to Hold Virtual Meeting for Buttonwood Bay Utilities Customers
The Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) will hold a virtual customer meeting on Thursday, July 16, 2026, to receive comments from customers of Sun Communities Acquisitions, LLC d/b/a Buttonwood Bay Utilities (Buttonwood) regarding the requested increase in water and wastewater rates and the utility's quality of service. The utility provides service to 885 water and 868 wastewater customers in Highlands County.
Buttonwood filed an application for a staff-assisted rate case with the FPSC in October 2025. The customer meeting is scheduled for the following date and time:
Thursday, July 16, 2026
10:00 a.m. (EDT)
Customers who wish to speak at the virtual customer meeting may register by doing one of the following:

Online registration will be available beginning Thursday, July 1 at 9:00 a.m. (EDT) and will close on Wednesday, July 15 at 12:00 p.m. (EDT).
