Adults ages 50 and older are invited to embrace aging in a healthy way at the Aurora Forum for Older Adults, taking place from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, at the Aurora Center for Active Adults, 30 W. Del Mar Circle.
This event will include educational presentations, fitness demos, giveaways, breakfast and a resource fair with over 35 vendors. Stand out presentations for 2025 include navigating the healthcare system with technology, honoring the lives of animal companions and Colorado's Multi Sector Plan on Aging, a presentation that covers a statewide initiative designed to prepare for the state's growing older adult population.
The Aurora Forum for Older Adults has been taking place at the Aurora Center for Active Adults since 2019 and aims to be an environment that encourages learning and difficult conversations in a safe space.
"We aim to be a place where older residents can get the information and resources they need to live their lives fully both today and tomorrow," said Lori Sanchez, supervisor of the Aurora Center for Active Adults.
This event is free and requires no prior registration. The event schedule and more information can be found at AuroraGov.org/ACAAForum.
