Prague Stock Exchange rises ahead of weekend

Prague, Aug 14 (CTK) - The Prague Stock Exchange (BCPP) rose for the third session in a row today, with the PX index gaining 0.18 percent to 2,790.04 points, and most stocks performed well, led by defence group CSG, according to the exchange's website.

Shares of Moneta, beverage maker Kofola and energy group CEZ fell.

CSG shares rose by 3.33 percent to CZK475.40 today, reaching their highest closing price on the Prague Stock Exchange's free market since May 21, said Wood & Company broker Hoang Long Le. "They were also the most actively traded stock on the Prague market today, with trading volume of CZK172m. However, overall trading volume remained below the long-term average, at around CZK470m today," he added.

Komercni banka shares gained 0.86 percent to CZK1,051, Erste shares grew by 0.17 percent to CZK2,974 and shares of arms manufacturer Colt added 0.1 percent to CZK979. Shares of tobacco company Philip Morris increased by 0.32 percent to CZK18,700, while shares of drone maker Primoco rose by 1.11 percent to CZK728. Shares of solar power plant builder Photon Energy gained 7.81 percent to CZK7.18.

CEZ shares lost 0.58 percent to CZK1,364. Moneta shares wrote off 0.25 percent to CZK197.90, while Kofola shares dropped 0.39 percent to CZK507.
