USDA Announces $911,000 Investment in Midland Rehabilitation Facility

U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Michigan State Director Dom Restuccia today announced a $911,000 grant to expand and improve services for the Ten16 Recovery Network.

"I've had the honor of visiting Ten16 and seeing first-hand the work done serving those willing to accept the challenge to heal themselves," said Restuccia. "Rural communities have been hard hit by the scourge of addiction due in part to failed public policy and open borders. Treatment facilities like Ten16 are the antidote for many to the poison of addiction. In the Trump-Vance administration, we are committed to cutting off the flood illegal drugs and protecting our communities. It is a privilege to play a small role investing in an organization that in turn invests in the lives of so many Michiganders working to reclaim their lives from the bonds of substance abuse."

The funds will be used to expand and improve the rehabilitation center to meet increasing demand for treatment services. The project includes constructing a new activity center with larger gathering spaces, expanding the parking lot, and improving the driveway. Total project cost is $1,011,000 million with the recipient providing $100,000.

"We are deeply grateful to the USDA for its generous grant supporting the construction of a recreation center at our drug and alcohol treatment center here in Mid-Michigan," said Ten16 Residential Program Manager Paul Wolanin. "This new facility will provide welcoming spaces for group meetings, family weekends, and community recovery events that strengthen connections and support lasting recovery. With exercise equipment and dedicated areas for fellowship and wellness, the center will promote healing, healthy lifestyles, and a stronger recovery community throughout mid-Michigan."

Rural Development's Community Facilities Program provided funding for the project. The program offers direct loans, loan guarantees and grants to develop or improve essential public services and facilities in rural communities.

These investments strengthen critical community infrastructure, enhance quality of life, and help rural towns attract and retain businesses and services. Discover more investment details and historical data in the Rural Data Gateway and learn more about the agency at www.rd.usda.gov/mi .
