ASRT Highlights 2025 Advocacy Efforts

The ASRT Government Relations Department released its year-end advocacy statistics highlighting ASRT's legislative and regulatory efforts for 2025. The department completed the following initiatives during the year.

  • ASRT launched three calls for action this year to support statewide legislative efforts in North Carolina, California and Massachusetts.
  • ASRT launched two federal calls to action in 2025 to support federal efforts. In total, individuals sent 2,911 letters to federal lawmakers through the ASRT Advocacy Action Center.
  • ASRT sent 37 letters to state and federal lawmakers and regulators. Letters voiced concern and recommended changes to proposed legislation and regulation across issue areas. ASRT's concerns included encroachment, inappropriate scope of practice expansion, remote supervision and deregulation.

The department's complete list of activities from 2025 are outlined in its year-end blog.

Looking ahead, ASRT is ramping up its advocacy efforts in preparation for the reopening of state legislatures. Forty-six states will be in session in 2026.
