Ehlmann Hosts Visiting Diplomats
Diplomatic staff from nine European nations visited the County Government and OPO Startups in St. Charles Oct. 31 during a multi-day tour of the St. Louis region. They learned about our county's history over lunch, talked about regional economic development, high tech jobs, and got a brief video tour highlighting the distinct mix of rural and suburban life that makes St. Charles County a great place to live!
During a walking tour of historic St. Charles Main Street, Ehlmann joked with the group that having buildings here from the 1800s is a big deal, while to most Europeans that's not so long ago. The diplomats, who are stationed at embassies in Washington, D.C., hail from Norway, Romania, Spain, France, Estonia, Poland, Croatia, Lithuania, and the Czech Republic.
