The 2025 SREI Fellows Symposium and the SMRU Fellows Symposium, held concurrently August 21-23 in Park City, Utah, brought together first and third-year REI fellows and first-year Andrology fellows for three days of mentorship, education, and connection. These annual symposia are highly anticipated opportunities for fellows to gain insight on navigating fellowship, career development, and the evolving landscape of reproductive medicine.

The speaker lineup featured experts from around the country who generously volunteered their time.

The Symposia included sessions on developing a fellow thesis, work-life balance, and strategies for thriving in academic, private, and hybrid career paths. REI fellows heard from thought leaders on the future of the field, social media, and early career transitions, while Andrology fellows explored topics such as surgical complications, practice management, and career pathways in reproductive urology. Joint sessions encouraged collaboration between specialties, highlighted by a spirited Fertility and Sterility debate and a discussion on cross-specialty partnerships.

To further foster collaborations between the specialties, fellows and faculty participated in a team-building event at Utah Olympic Park. In a show of solidarity, participants wore orange to honor infertility awareness, underscoring the shared mission of advancing reproductive health.

Special thanks go to SREI Co-Chairs Drs. Irene Su and Lowell Ku. The SREI fellowship symposium is supported by ASRM, SART and an endowment by Ferring Pharmaceuticals.

SMRU thanks Chair Dr. Akanksha Mehta for her leadership and vision as well as the sponsors whose support made the SMRU symposium possible, including, Fellow Health, Filotimo Foundation, PS Fertility, Endo USA, Inc., Fairfax Cryobank, Path Fertility, and Posterity Health.

Together, both events reaffirmed their dual role as both a training ground for the next generation of reproductive medicine leaders and a community that nurtures lifelong professional bonds.
