Prime Minister Rama in Abu Dhabi for Sustainability Week 2026

Prime Minister Edi Rama is in the United Arab Emirates to attend Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026 (ADSW), taking place from 11 to 15 January in Abu Dhabi. This international forum brings together heads of state and government, business leaders, and civil society representatives to discuss the challenges and prospects of sustainable development at the global level.

Under the theme "The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go," ADSW 2026 aims to connect ambition with concrete action by building bridges between innovation, finance, and human capital as key drivers in shaping a sustainable future.

Prime Minister Rama attended the Zayed Sustainability Prize Awards Ceremony, a UAE global initiative that recognizes and rewards projects and organizations working to improve education and schooling, ensure access to safe drinking water, and provide food support for communities in need. The prize highlights impactful, innovative, and inspiring sustainable solutions and strengthens their transformative effect.

The Prime Minister will also address the "Youth for Sustainability" meeting, a global Masdar initiative that empowers the next generation of sustainability leaders. The event is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
As part of the ADSW 2026 agenda, Prime Minister Rama will also participate in the Leaders' Dialogue Panel titled "Energy Corridors for a Sustainable Future."
In addition, during his stay in the United Arab Emirates, the Prime Minister will hold a series of bilateral meetings with senior political figures from the UAE, as well as with leaders and other participants attending this international forum.
