Aixia: Aixia contributes to green AI revolution – collaborates with TEXEL on groundbreaking energy solution

The Swedish-American company TEXEL is now launching a groundbreaking solution that harnesses energy that would otherwise be lost - and converts it into electricity to power AI. As a strategic advisor in AI infrastructure, Aixia is a key partner in the venture. We deliver the hardware and software that handles AI operation in TEXEL's container solutions.

The launch will take place on September 17 at Återbruket Kikås in Mölndal, where TEXEL will demonstrate its first commercial installation - a system that converts landfill gas into electricity, directly on site. Aixia will participate in the presentation and tell you more about our role in AI infrastructure and how we contribute to making TEXEL's solution robust, scalable and ready for global rollout.

The background to the project is the explosive growth of AI, which is driving up electricity consumption globally. At the same time, large amounts of energy are wasted when methane gas from landfills and other sources is burned in open flares. TEXEL's technology makes it possible to instead utilize this energy - to power AI.

The potential is enormous: in the US alone, gas equivalent to the electricity production from 14 nuclear reactors is flared away every year. With TEXEL's solution, this energy can be converted into stable, locally produced electricity for AI operation. At the same time, new jobs are created - both in the US and Sweden, where production capacity is now being built up.
