Lakeland Police Department Hiring 911 Emergency Communications Professionals

LAKELAND, FL (October 2, 2025) - On Monday, October 6, 2025, the Lakeland Police
Department will begin accepting applications for 911 Emergency Communicators. The job
posting will go live at 8:00 a.m. and will remain open to the first 50 qualified applicants.

No Experience Required - All training will be provided for qualified candidates.
Candidates with experience may start at a higher salary.

POSITION DETAILS:
Application Opening Date: Monday, October 6, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.
Application Deadline: The posting will close upon receipt of the first 50 qualified
applicants or on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
Starting Salary: Over $51K annually. Applicants with experience may start at a
higher rate of pay
Additional Compensation: Includes holiday pay, night shift differential, salary
incentive pay, longevity pay, and more.

Benefits: Pension plan, deferred compensation 457, tuition reimbursement, paid
holidays, overtime opportunities and on-duty workout.

Applicants must meet one of the eligibility requirements:
High school diploma from an accredited school or a GED.
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which
provides the knowledge, skills, abilities, and other competencies necessary for
success in the target position may be considered.
