NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETING
Mount Diablo Resource Recovery Park (MDRRP) - Revised Solid Waste Facility Permit
The City of Pittsburg Local Enforcement Agency (LEA) will hold an informational meeting for the proposed Revised Solid Waste Facility Permit for Mount Diablo Resource Recovery Park (SWIS No. 07-AC-0043), located at 1300 Loveridge Road, Pittsburg.
Meeting: August 5, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.

Purpose: The meeting will provide information about MDRRP's request to revise its Solid Waste Facility Permit. The LEA accepted the application on July 9, 2026. Public comments may be made at the meeting or submitted in writing to the LEA. All comments will be added to the permit record.
Project Summary: MDRRP proposes expanding its footprint from 16.3 to 36 acres, increasing capacity from 1,500 to 5,000 tons per day, and reorganizing operations under a phased Master Plan. Traffic capacity would increase from 950 to 2,516 vehicles per day.
LEA Determination: The LEA determined the proposed changes are significant and require a Revised Solid Waste Facility Permit per Title 27, Section 21665.
