Please tell us a little about what you are doing now.
After graduation at UMM, I thought medical school was the path forward. However, after doing various internships and roles I got interested in Governance Risk Compliance work in IT and worked in Healthcare, Banking and Defense industries.
What is the most valuable thing you learned while at UMaine Machias?
Keep learning and skill up as life is never ending journey of learning.
What advice do you have for current students?
Keep your mind open to new things and ideas.
How did your time at UMaine Machias prepare you for what you are doing now?
I gained a lot of critical thinking skills and learned how to connect the dots between various industries and understand how to solve customer problems.
How has UMaine Machias made a positive impact on your life? UMM in its small classroom setting made me feel like I was part of a learning family and each of us had something to share and contribute. Attention to detail and being meticulous has made me successful in my career pivoting from science to business administration.
