Norlantic Appoints Alastair Rimmer as Chair of Advisory Board

New York, NY, July. 21, 2025 - Norlantic Capital, a cross-border private markets firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alastair Rimmer as chair of its advisory board.

Mr. Rimmer brings over 35 years of global leadership in M&A and deal strategy, including more than 15 years as Global Head of Deals Strategy at PwC Strategy&. Over his distinguished career, he has managed and executed complex transactions across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America, completing more than 500 assignments for private equity and corporate clients across diverse industries. His expertise spans M&A strategy, search screens, growth strategy, strategic due diligence, revenue optimization, and value creation.

A recognized industry leader, Mr. Rimmer was instrumental in launching and growing the PwC Deals Strategy team in the UK and the U.S.-building it from just a handful of employees to a team of more than 1,000 professionals.

As chair of the advisory board, Mr. Rimmer will assist Norlantic in driving its business strategy, reviewing investment opportunities, and supporting key strategic initiatives. Leveraging his extensive global experience, he will provide guidance on the evaluation of new investments and foster relationships to further develop Norlantic's cross-border investment platform.

He joins an advisory board that includes:

  • Ragnvald Risan, Current Managing Partner and Co-Founder at Ness, Risan & Partners, with over 30 years of experience in alternative investments.
  • Ashley Dennig, Senior Director of Investments at the Broad Family Office and Foundation, and former Vice President for Franklin Templeton Private Equity, focusing on U.S. manager selection. Ashley holds a B.A from Princeton University and is a CFA charter holder.
  • Alexander Freberg, Chief Investment Officer at Tucan Holding, a single-family office dedicated to alternative investments. Previously, he was CFO at The Payment House, a European payments provider. Alexander holds an MBA from the National University of Singapore.
