President Donald J. Trump has appointed Mary Anne Carter, Rodney Mims Cook Jr., Chamberlain R. Harris, Roger Kimball, James C. McCrery II, Pamela Hughes Patenaude, and Matthew Taylor to serve four-year terms on the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts in Washington, D.C.
At its meeting of 22 January 2026, the Commission elected Mr. Cook, founder and president of the National Monuments Foundation in Atlanta, Georgia, to be the new chairman of the Commission. The Commission also voted James C. McCrery II, professor at the Catholic University of America's School of Architecture and Allied Arts, as vice chairman. Both Mr. Cook and Mr. McCrery served previously on the Commission.
