Cassidy Speaks to UL Turning Point USA Chapter

WASHINGTON - This afternoon, U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) spoke to members of the Turning Point USA Chapter at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (UL) on what he's doing to advance conservative values and Charlie Kirk's legacy in Washington.

"Charlie Kirk advocated for the next generation to stand in faith, defend freedom, and stay true to American values," said Dr. Cassidy. "I'm supporting those principles in Washington for a better future for us all."

As Chairman of the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, Cassidy led 14 Republican senators in nominating Charlie Kirk to be included in the National Garden of American Heroes for his historic contributions to the nation.

Cassidy was welcomed to the meeting by chapter President Louis Cohn, who thanked him for attending.

"We were excited to host Senator Bill Cassidy to talk about his time serving Louisiana in the U.S. Senate and about civic engagement," said Mr. Cohn.
